Further Clean Up

When I bought my laptop, its default antivirus was McAfee. Actually this antivirus software is pretty good, but the problem is, I only have a six month trial key. So after this period I have to resort to a different --or the same but of different license-- antivirus program. And whew! disappointed as I was, I rarely find McAfee in the top ten list of antivirus software whenever I click on the web for best antivirus programs. It is always Bit Defender, if not Kaspersky, that tops the list. Therefore, I have it installed in my computer. At first I was very impressed by the result of installing Bit Defender. It was like doing one big heck of general cleaning to my laptop. But little did I know that this program immediately erases, without prompting, suspicious programs or softwares. To cut it short, it erased a file extension in my computer's system. The heck! I have it uninstalled right away and of course resorting to Kaspersky goes without saying since it is also in the top list. And now, I am happily satisfied with it maintaining my laptop.

I thought that the inconvenience that my previous antivirus had brought about would be permanent unless I have my computer reformatted. The good news is, I found this particular site which cleans up and erases file extension DLL errors. And now my computer is working normally again. But wait, there's more, for those who are torrent downloads fanatic like me, the site also offers a file extension TORRENT repair. And another type of error that impedes your computer's function is the problem with binary files which can be a real binary file and not limited to game files, video back-up files, etc. So if you want to get rid of it, click this file extension BIN cleaner link.

So that's it. Is there anything else I can help you with? LOL!

use avira leoj, pinakaeffective ang avira sa pagtanggal ng virus compared sa ibang free antivirus (well except avast, ang pinagkaiba lang nila malakas kumain ng system resources ang avast, avira eh hindi)

also, don't use avg. avg only detects 80% of viruses.

also, san kaba tumingin ng reviews leoj? dito kasi ako tumitingin...

av-comparatives are the probable best benchmarking tool for antiviruses. Used to sa techspot at toms hardware.

sa paid antiviruses naman, kaspersky and nod32 wins.

also, useful utility ito:

anti usb virus. dinidisable nya yung autorun and pinroprotect nya hdd mo against autorun viruses. Pinoy gumawa nito, member ng tipidpc.com, largest pc user-trading and forums sa pinas.

@ pcm

it depends is it the USB virus that allegedly "replaces" your original files?

when that is it. avira removed it because it is the "direct replica" of the (forgot the name) virus.

If your looking for your files, then it is hidden in the usb. you need to enable show hidden files in the folder options.

now kung iba. dapat kasi ginoogle mo muna yung nadetect. kung .exe or .dll yan, maraming nakalagay sa internet na processes na magsasabi kung virus yan.

anyway enabled naman ng avira ang interactive mode eh. kaya more or less likely yung useryung magdedecide kung buburahin o hindi yung file.

@ leoj

ask me to find out. wahahaha

hi austerfan!!!!!!! wala lang hahaha
